LINCOLN COUNTY is centrally located in the state of Oklahoma.  Chandler is the County Seat of Lincoln County. Chandler has approximately 4,000 friendly residents and Lincoln County has approximately 31,000 residents.  Lincoln County temperatures allow for perfect year-round activities with an average annual temperature of approximately 60 degrees. Chandler Public Schools allow your children to be recognized as a unique individual having only approximately 1175 students from pre-kindergarten through the 12th grade. We have an excellent school system with a lot of pride.  Our youth organizations are: Boy Scouts, Chandler Youth Organization, Future Farmers of America, 4-H, Girl Scouts, Rainbow Girls, Brownies, Cub Scouts, Positive Peers and Future Homemakers of America.  In our hometown of Chandler, everyone knows everyone. We don’t have traffic jams nor do we have gangs, drive-by shootings or mindless violence. What we do have is lakes and ponds to fish and woods and wildlife to enjoy, and the freedom to live as you please along with plenty of “peace and quiet.”  The major shopping and entertainment areas are less than an hour away in four major Oklahoma cities. Tulsa is approximately 60 miles east, Oklahoma City is approximately 45 miles west, Stillwater is approximately 42 miles north and Shawnee is approximately 30 miles to the south.


POINTS OF INTEREST Chandler Golf Course - The golf course is adjacent to Chandler Lake and maintains and excellent nine-hole course, G.S.A. rating 69.7 driving range. City Park - Four city parks provide facilities for swimming, tennis, softball, baseball, volleyball courts and lighted official horseshoe pitching courts. Historic Route 66 Celebration - This event includes sidewalk sales, arts and crafts, music and other events throughout the day.


LOCAL ATTRACTIONS.  July 4th Celebration. Starting in the afternoon with tricycle and turtle races, and the Youth Singing Contests. In the evening at Bell Cow Lake is the display of breathtaking fireworks. Round-Up Club Rodeo. This event is held annually the latter part of August for two nights. Contestants compete in six rodeo events with numbers from 400-500 per night. Lincoln County Fair. This is a three-day event held annually the latter part of August or early September. Residents gather to enjoy the livestock shows, carnival and hundreds of exhibits. A spring livestock show is also held in March for 4-H and FFA members to exhibit prize livestock. Christmas Parade. This event is sponsored by the Chandler Chamber of Commerce. The parade is held on the first Saturday in December, with area marching bands, floats, Santa and Mrs. Clause and a Snow Queen, and much more. Lincoln County Museum of Pioneer History. This museum is enshrined in a beautiful, historical building and is devoted to depicting the early life in Lincoln County. Bell Cow Lake and Chandler Lake. Both lakes are minutes from town engulfing over 2250 acres of land and 1070 acres filled with water. There are swimming and fishing areas, RV and primitive camping, equestrian camping and hunting. The campgrounds are public. Boating and skiing is permitted, horse riding trails and modern restrooms and showers.
